The gel contains a natural jelly ingredient from seaweed, and the powder in the water is calcium.
When the gel touches the calcium water, the calcium instantly “locks” the alginate together like snapping tiny chains shut.
That chemical reaction is what turns the liquid gel into a firm, squishy jelly shape in seconds.
